Triglycerides

Esters of the trihydric alcohol glycerol containing three long-chain fatty acids are called triglycerides. They are consumed in food in part and synthesised in the liver in part. Triglyceride measurement is used in the diagnosis and treatment of individuals with nephrosis, diabetes mellitus, liver blockage, problems related to lipid metabolism, and many other endocrine illnesses.
